Review of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) by Clifton D — 28 Dec 2017

The film immediately loses focus of the bringing the iconic Jumanji game's chaos to real life. Instead it whisks all away safely out of the real world, losing all sense of connection and relatability for the audience.

The movie's use of game mechanics and the character's awareness of them removes all sense of threat. It washes away the adventure by miring it down with character romance as well. Nicely acted but very simple film and uninteresting.
