Review of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) by Owen T — 30 Dec 2017
Personally, I don't like this film. For the first 30 mins it was boring where scenes would drag and be far longer than they needed to be. The whole film was generic, predictable and not funny, I laughed twice at its many desperate attempts to force a laugh out.
I laughed at the 'flirting' scene and the classic 'zoology bitch'. It's rules don't make sense. The characters have strengths and weaknesses. They don't know onpurposly it just kinda happens.
On Spencer's character he is 'fearless' yet he dies at the end because he was scared by a squirrel. It was intended to be a character arc but that doesn't make sense with the rest of the film.
The main plot was that they had to escape the game and make their way through a dangerous game which for me when they FINALLY got out (after the rocks confession it just seemed unsatisfying when they got back.
This film is not good and I defenantly preferred some other films like pitch perfect 3 and, honestly the emoji movie was better than this overrated, uncreative, boring film.
