Review of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) by Earl B — 20 Dec 2017
Best movie based on a video game EVER - it's a lot of fun, with a lot of great interaction between characters. I particularly loved Johnson and Gillan, but it's Jack Black (as a girl in a man's body) who nearly steals the whole show. Yes, there's potty humor - but there's a lot more here than that, if a little less than in the original.
Don't expect a straight remake of Jumanji, but enjoy it for what it is - a fun blockbuster with stereotyped video game characters doing...well, mostly stereotyped video game things, with a few surprises thrown in. Expect a plot as strong as a video game's, and you won't be disappointed. It ain't Shakespeare - but people forget he relied on potty humor at times, too.
