Review of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) by Apennameandthat — 13 May 2018
This movie is an utterly perfect example of how movies, literature, and creative nonfiction (like good bibliographies) are structured. The External Journey: The characters have an external objective (get out of the game) and barriers of increasing severity to overcome, a climax and an ending where things are mulled over.
The Internal Journey: Each of the characters have flaws that they are not really aware of, the flaws cause conflict with other characters, and the internal flaws are overcome. Also mulled over at the end of the movie.
If only people changed in real life.
