Review of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017) by Astor_ — 09 Jul 2018
Usually I am not into this type of film. However it turned out to be quite well made as far as this genre is concerned.
I like the concept that they picked a bunch of students in high school to be the characters who would roleplay the video game characters in Jumanji. It starts out fresh, and would draw appeal to high school teens especially.
There are a quite a few funny moments. A few really good ones. Others are kinda forced/cheesy, but acceptable if you know what to expect from this kind of film.
The characters in the film learnt along the difficult path to their goals, to bond and grow to become better people.
Overall this is an okay movie to watch for general entertainment. Just don't expect too much from this in terms of depth.
