Review of Jumanji: The Next Level (2019) by Cylun — 31 Jan 2021

With this movie, they integrated some Steampunk into the Jumanji world, which makes it less streamlined. They also brought up ideas of ordinary inner conflicts and conflicts between the protagonists. This makes the movie more relatable.

The main plot isn't as spectacular though, maybe because it's not so different from the previous movie. The writers still play with typical cliches and subvert expectations. Overall, I liked it a little bit more than the previous part.
