Review of Jumanji (1995) by Tero H — 22 Oct 2012
Funny, if childish fantasy-comedy about a board game (where did it come from, who made it?) that brings fantasy world elements into the world of unexpecting people who play the game, and captures them in the game.
Although the acting is great and the action constant, the silly plot and naive attitude really doesn't carry the movie very far. Still, its music, atmosphere, speed, abundance of action, visual humor and original ideas compensate and make it quite fun to see.
Childish.
