Review of Julieta (2016) by Dawdlingpoet — 25 Nov 2021
This is a typically stylish and colourful (visibly colourful) film by Pedro Almodovar. It has a pretty decent sense of mystery about it, although I admit I;m not sure I followed every plot detail. It features decent characterisation and will likely keep people guessing, in terms of what the eventual outcome will be.
There is a certain sadness to it, in parts. This is a film you need to concentrate on to fully follow the ins and outs and its certainly an intriguing watch. Not a bad film, not quite what I'd consider excellent but certainly good enough to be worth a watch, I'd recommend this film.
