Review of Juliet of the Spirits (1965) by Marco F — 17 Aug 2009
"Juliet of the Spirits" is Federico Fellini's most interesting film to look at. In his first excursion away from black and white, Fellini gives us photography that's fluent and deliciously colourful, uninhibited by the restraint an experienced colour filmmaker would exercise.
More impressively, the film doesn't look at all dated, exuding an appearance that seems like it could have been released this year.
