Review of Juliet of the Spirits (1965) by Grace C — 24 Apr 2011
When it comes to Fellini films, I prefer the later ones like Satyricon and Amarcord. I've never been in love with his love, Giulietta Masina, though her face does hold many expressions.
Juliet...was a film with many delightful visuals encased in the premise of a depressed housewife dealing her husband's loss of interest in her by daydreaming of a fantasy world filled with surreal party scenes, entwined with colorful childhood flashbacks and reunions with family.
