Review of Julie & Julia (2009) by Hanse — 08 Aug 2009
I have to side with those who find the "Julie" part of this movie weak. Streep is amazing as Julia Child; her way of being is life-affirming and the chemistry with Stanley Tucci as her adoring husband is fantastic.
By contrast, Amy Adam's Julie is just plain petty and she doesn't seem to learn a thing about food or life from her experiences. Still, this is a good movie.
