Review of Julie & Julia (2009) by Calvin D — 25 Apr 2011
One of those ridiculous 'feel-good' films that winds up working very well. Luckily, the subject matter is fairly fascinating, and thus manages to entertain and interest. I believe Nora Ephron most likely forces her actors to be charming, and this film holds that same innate charm. Streep already has more well-deserved praise than she can handle, so I'll praise the others. We have the wildly entertaining Jane Lynch, the enigmatic Stanley Tucci and the gorgeous, hilarious, brings me to my knees Amy Adams.
Certainly worth the watch.
