Review of Julie & Julia (2009) by Eden R — 24 May 2011
Harmless piece of cinema which has some pretensions. The film struggles under its dual structure mostly as the modern story is a bit light. Julie (as discussed in the film) is a bit of bitch and it tells over the length of the story.
Streep steals the entire film supported beautifully by Tucci...perhaps a film about them might have said more about the escape of cooking.
Foodies will get a delight in some of the food discussions.
