Review of Julie & Julia (2009) by Grace L — 03 Feb 2012

This wasn't as entertaining as I thought it would be but its still a decent movie overall. I think the story could've been executed a lot better because it was interesting but it just felt like it lacked a lot of personality it could've had. Julia Child is such an exuberant, loud personality so it would've made sense to show a bit of how she started television? It would've been nice to see a much larger aspect of her life than just the one goal she achieved in the movie. The Julie character could've been more interesting. Meryl Streep does pretty much carry the movie and she is a PERFECT Julia Child, right down to the voice.

Overall, it does get a bit dull in some parts and the end is a bit anticlimatic but its decent enough. it just had so much more potential.
