Meryl Streep gives a bravura comedic depiction of the larger-than-life and somewhat eccentric persona of cooking legend Julia Child. Streep's acting performance is so powerful that it tends to eclipse those of the other actors in this movie.
Amy Adams gives a good, although not standout, performance as the ingenue working her way through all of the recipes in "Mastering the Art of French Cooking." "Julie & Julia" is a movie that is a lot of fun and well worth watching.
