Juice was a very powerful and scary movie. The acting was great by Epps, Shakur and the rest of the crew. Juice captures a variety of items that can be found within a human life time; love, friendship, betrayal, insanity and talent.
Each character represents a wide spectrum of human life and what it means to be a person. It is a teaching tool much like 'Menace 2 Society' which says that even though you may live in a bad neighborhood and be completely surrounded by sin and death, you do not have to give into those things and that no matter where you are you can always be your own self and follow your own dreams.
It shows characters that don't understand these concepts like Shakur's character Bishop. He is a symbol for corruption in society as where Epps' character Q shows a person that has dreams and distinguishes right from wrong.
As strong as the movie itself is, there are still things, IMPORTANT things that went unanswered! Did Steel die in the hospital? Did Q make it to the DJ battles and win? Usually a movie that plays out like this will explain what became of the main characters lives, like 'Stand by Me' for instance.
They grew up together in childhood, and explained their outcomes at the movies end. Regardless of loose ends, Juice is a powerful movie and it is worth a watch. 4-starz.
