Excellent and creepy movie. Its kinda hard to characterize it's not an out and out horror but has horror & gore elements in it, its definitely supernatural (little bit of H.P. Lovecraft) and maybe depending on how you take it, can be implied science fiction.

The main thing about the movie that I love was it has a good little story (its a great really really dysfunctional family drama) and has great characters especially Dwise (I think that's his name) he's wonderful and brings in some humor that's needed in a pretty bleak story.

Sean Young actually does a good job in this, I haven't seen her really act in a while and she's a pretty repulsive person in this movie. The main actress who actually looks like she could be Sean Young's daughter is fantastic and you really do feel for her.

The film has an excellent pace and just whisks by, right when I was getting comfortable with my popcorn the movie wraps up. I guess the best thing I can say is I wanted to hang out with some of these characters a little longer.

..you know..before they get massacred. Really enjoyed it, its always good to see something different which is rare these days. I might have to make me a (The pit wants what it wants) t-shirt.
