Review of Judgment Night (1993) by Vinnie B — 30 Oct 2006
Judgment is about a group of friends who, on their way to a boxing match, decide to take a short cut in a rough part of town to avoid traffic. Too bad for them, they corss paths with Fallon, a brutal gangster hell bent on killing them.
Denis Leary was amazing: psychotic, charismatic, a total badass. The great cast (Estivez, Dorff, Godding Jr. and Piven) lended the simple story some credibility, and the set pieces are alot of fun, plus it gets fairly violent and nail-biting.
Overall, great little thriller.
