Stupid but fun. I'm not familiar with the comic, but I do know a lot of rules were broken; judges are forbidden to take off their helmets, fall in love, etc.
The reboot is getting rave reviews because it's staying true to the comic.
Armand Assante over acts like crazy, Rob Schneider's character is annoying (he gets shot but is still alive, blast!), there's stupid one liners and what ever happened to the clones?
Although, the special effects are great (the greenscreen shots in the chase scene look dodgy though), the sets are massive, Alan Silvestri's score is epic and Stallone looks the part.
If you're a fan of the comics, you're gonna hate it, but if you're looking for a dumb but fun 90's action flick, this is probably up your street.
