After seeing the excellent 2012 version, I decided to take a look at the infamous 1995 version which is generally hated, and I actually ended up enjoying it quite a bit. While the film does feel cartoony and cheesy, I had a blast watching it since I found it to be pure action fun.
This is one of the ultimate guilty pleasure action films and I think it is thoroughly underrated by critics and moviegoers. While the 2012 version is indeed a superior film, I cannot deny that I love the 1995 version.
