Action/scifi this good is polished. There are better, but this is pretty good. Very geek-pleasing for a kid. Cool premise and plot due to the comics influence - very much a 90's Robocop or a 90's Equilibrium.
A departure from the comics, which the new movie does better and keeps it real, this version is Hollywood adventure movie plus violence, and I think it worked well and gets a bad rap.
The new movie is not family friendly, however, which this franchise is not meant to be in any way. This movie is more for kids.
