Yeah, the movie's pretty bad. Horribly derivative, cheesy, predictable, and weighed down by Sylvester Stallone's leaden presence. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a great time watching this train wreck.
The special effects are cool, the supporting cast is game (Armand Assante particularly totally throws himself into the villain role) and there are even shreds of a story that could have been a good comic book movie.
As fun and unintentionally funny as it is, there is no excuse for Rob Schneider's horribly grating comic relief character.
