Review of Jude (1996) by Rash H — 20 Jun 2006
Dry and depressing, this is a ode to a man that I never entirely met through out the running of this film. In fact, I still feel I don't know who Fawley is at all since all I ever saw was Eccleston and Winslet as another inspiring love interest.
The film tries too hard yet doesn't understand its source material enough to give it any kind of life. It wasn't even pretty to watch, despite the keen performances.
