Don't watch this if you're feeling depressed already, as it will make you want to slit your wrists by the end of it.
Not a bad film- it's gritty and intense. The fairly in your face nudity and sex scenes can be a bit much at times, but it does add to the realism of the film.
However, I can't relate to how good an adaptation it is, since i've never read the book.
Worth a watch.
