Review of Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead (2009) by Adam E — 05 Jan 2011

Seen it all before on the cheap horror movie thats not that fun and not that scary either. This is of the ilk were characters make friends with complete strangers and steal peoples cars for no reason. no wonder a nut job truck driver does a hitcher on them and stalks and abuses them.

the killer does not seem threating in the slightest and we dont even get a reveal of his face. The film plods on at a snails pace with the characters screaming and shouting and just looking pitifull and no one cares as there are so generic and dull! some boobs are added at the start and a very lame striptease (but to be fair its not a voluntary one!) are put in while the killer tells the kids what to do next.

all the truck drivers are shown as red neck scum bags to. Nothing new to offer and nothing to keep you sat through it either. The suspense scenes dont work (including a very texas chainsaw massacre ish tied to a chair scene) and only make this drag out longer.
