Joy is based on the true story of Joy Mangano who rose to become a great entrepreneur woman and built a powerful business. That said there is not much in the movie except Jennifer Lawrence's performance which was very good.
Overall average with a linear story. View it as a DVD, not worth seeing it in the theater.
