I just returned from seeing the movie Joy and thought it was excellent. The movie had me from the get go and much of the theater audience as well. Laughter, chuckles and total silence to the point of hearing a pin drop.

The movie theater was full and this is how many days out from it's opening? I thought that Jennifer Lawrence's performance was stellar. The other actors played well and were believable. They were depicted in a lessor light then Joy (Jennifer L) but that did not distract me from appreciating their character.

The story focus was about Joy. I thought some of the camera angles were interestingly unique. The movie was inspirational and uplifting.
