Exposition heavy, plodding with stiff sometimes really bad dialogue. The first third or so was an especially dull slog involving Joy and her family life which didn't end until Bradley Cooper made his appearance which for me was the only actor who didn't seem to be phoning their performance in.

I was never able to really care about Joy and her attempt to market her invention anyway which really made this a difficult watch.
