Review of Joy (2015) by What2C — 25 Dec 2015
My first ever review is happening here and now because I really liked Joy and want people to see it. Because it's funny. The crazy assortment of characters in Joy's family are just a hoot. And since they stand in her way more often than they help her, they give Joy even more obstacles to overcome.
But most of all because Joy is inspiring. You want to see her succeed and you don't know how she's going to pull it off, so the suspense carries you along. In addition to a terrific Jennifer Lawrence, De Niro, Rossellini, Virginia Madsen, Edgar Ramirez are all wonderful to watch.
If you're looking for some laughs and some uplift to sweep you into the new year, this is definitely one film to catch.
