Take 3 three actors a couple of good and not so good -the fish looked so faked...- special effects and a few weeks later you get "Journey to the centre of the Earth", the performances, the direction and the script are highly irrelevant. In all honesty I'm not sure what Verne would think of it, not very much I suppose.
This is just family fun, or at least some families fun. Perfect movie for the afternoon of a snowy Xmas day but not much else.
