Family friendly fantasy adventure based on the Jules Verne classic. I actually liked this movie more than I thought I would. I'm a Brendan Fraser fan, although I'm the first to admit he usually picks the worst movie roles to star in, preferring to ham it up for little kids rather than make anything an adult wouldn't cringe at viewing.
But I was pleasantly surprised by this film, which proved to be well-paced and entertaining, if not simple and straight forward. A good fit for any DVD shelf.
