A run adventure film that will make you laugh, cry and cheer the whole way through as you watch Brendan Fraser be the incredibly talented actor that he is.

***contains spoilers***.

In this 2008 action film, Trevor Anderson (Brendan Fraser), a science professor, has felt as if his life is a waste. He teaches at a university where none of the kids are interested, a hypothesis that he had about the world that no one believes in and a snotty coworker, Alan (Seth Meyers). His life is going nowhere. That is until his nephew, Sean (Josh Hutcherson) comes to visit. Trevor's sister drops off a box of their late brother, Max's stuff. Inside, Trevor finds one of Max's old books, Jules Verne's 'A Journey To the Center of the Earth'. Inside the book, Max has all these calculations and latitudes and longitudes that Trevor believes may be clues to finding out what happened to his brother & Sean's father. All the calculations are from Iceland, so Trevor takes off for Iceland with Sean. Once there, Trevor & Sean track down an old science institution where another famous professor worked. The professor's daughter, Hannah (Anita Briem), answers the door & says that her father has been dead for several years. She then acts as their guide as they look for the center of the earth. They encounter many things, an old mine shaft, and a volcanic tube filled with gems. When they finally get to the center of the earth, they are amazed. Sean & Trevor find another book, Max's diary. Hannah finds a place on the beach, where Max died. Sean, gets away from Trevor & Hannah at one point and has to fend for himself after a terrible storm. Trevor, however finds him eventually and they must escape from a dinosaur. Trevor even has to rescue Hannah from carnivore venus fly traps. Then, Trevor flare's a wall (though it takes several tries) and they burst out of the volcano into Italy. In the ending, once they are back home, Sean goes home & Trevor says that maybe they can have another adventure again. Trevor even gives Sean a book about Atlantis.

This movie was just a fantastic film, filled with adventure and that kept me entertained and made me wish that I could journey to the center of the earth again & again. That's how good this film truly is. It's amazing.
