Review of Journey to the Center of the Earth (2008) by Zachary G — 17 Jan 2012
I looked forward to seeing this movie for quite a while. I was sorely disappointed. Obviously, this movie was made purely for 3D, not for plot or any other thing that people may enjoy. It was blaringly obvious that certain things that happen were made purely for those seeing it on a 3D screen (which we did not). Further, I felt that they introduced certain things that could have later then been tied in (you know, to actually make the movie somewhat enjoyable), but instead they resorted to leaving them as strictly cheap 3D gags.
Basically, the best part of this movie was the eye candy that Brendan Fraser provided--at least he was hot. We should have stayed home and watched the Opening Ceremonies for the Olymics!
