Review of Journey From the Fall (2007) by Kendrick H — 18 Nov 2007
A powerful account of the Vietnamese boat people and those sentenced to reeducation camps after the war. I thought the writers and director did a good job of weaving the story such that it was part historical documentary and part personal story.
It was well filmed and well acted. (On a side note, I got to meet Kieu Chinh when this film screened at the National Museum of Asian Art - Freer and Sackler Galleries in DC. Very cool.).
