An intriguing plot and some fairly decent special effects can't help Journey 2 from being just another bad attempt at a mash-up of genres ranging from family friendly actioner to cheesy melodrama and romance that come across at times as laughably bad.
Average performances, lame humour and a bumpy screenplay don't help. Although the idea of seeing minature elephants and giant bees is interesting for about 10 seconds.
