Review of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012) by Ryan C — 02 Aug 2012
This is a great example of what 3D is doing to cinemas. A story built to show effects rather than the use of effects to bring a story to life. Everything is backwards. This is purely built for 3D cinema; watching on the screen at home it looked tacky, cheap and poorly constructed in almost every way.
The story and characters fail to keep your attention and I almost turned it off after 30mins if not earlier. But, sometimes you just want to keep watching to see just how bad a film you're actually watching.
.. and this spectacular failure gets 1 out of 5 stars and trust me, that is generous.
