Review of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island (2012) by Cheyne L — 24 May 2013

A minor romp .. a slight rollicking .. a tiny fling .. a movie just barely rolling along, but still a good time .. the thing is, this film knows it's audience and that audience is 12 year old boys and girls .

. it's pure fantasy and if I were younger I would have eaten this up with relish .. but what about the 12 year olds who have seen 'jurassic park' or 'land of the lost' or 'lost in space' .

. or 'raiders of the lost ark' for that matter .. 'journey 2' is so derivative that any self respecting 12 year old prepubescent boy will smartly pack up his cheetos and sour patch kids, say 'see ya mom and dad' and walk into 'chronicle' while it's still playing in the next theatre over .
