Review of Josie and the Pussycats (2001) by Crystal L — 27 Jan 2008
The movie is a modern day spin-off of the old Archie comics. Keeping this in mind, I thought the movie was great. Anytime a skewed reference was made, it put a smile to my face or made me laugh. Tara Reid plays a ditz (which she does quite well) and Rachael Leigh Cook is HOT! Basically, the movie industry is brainwashing kids/teens with subliminal messages, which is pretty close to what they're doing now (just not to the same extreme).
It was funny to see an over-exaggerated portrayal of how gullible & "trendy" youths (lemmings) are.
