Review of Josie and the Pussycats (2001) by Kris B — 29 Jan 2010
Silly, funny and a great cast but could've been a lot better I think. Storyline wasn't great, same old moral how friendship should overcome everything and its sweet but dull. I don't think the characters were quite strong enough either although Alan Cumming and Parker Posey were awesome as the evil record company bosses.
Don't get me wrong, I love my all girl rock bands and the music was cool, especially as Kay Hanley was Josie's singing voice, but it just lacked something. It's worth a watch on a rainy day but its nothing to write home about.
