Review of Joshua (2007) by Haley B — 09 Jan 2008
The film was fairly good and succeeded in having its creepy moments (the boy who played Joshua had that nice "Village of the Damned" factor).
Still, I find it hard to believe that a 9-year-old boy could manipulate so many people in the movie, including a child psychologist, in the manner that he did. And the ending reminded me of how villains like to reveal exactly how they managed to carry out their evil plans.
I will say that I enjoyed the storyline about the parents and their inability to see their son's obvious sociopathic tendencies because they were so wrapped up in their own selfish bullshit. There's nothing quite like seeing a movie about family decay.
