Review of Joshua (2007) by Deb J — 26 Apr 2008
It is certainly more than a "creepy kid movie;" in fact, "Joshua" is more a psychological mystery film than a horror film. Every other character is at least as interesting as the title's, especially with the impeccable acting of Farmiga, Rockwell and Roberts (of "The L Word.
") The suspense never falters, resulting in a film which is completely worthwhile and surprisingly ambiguous as to what has really gone on. The ending is less oblique than, say, "Mulholland Drive," but it makes for a good amount of discussion.
