Review of Joshua (2007) by Pat O — 24 May 2008
Total rip-off of The Omen with the kid being the most aggravating movie character of all time. I've never wanted to physically harm a child than Joshua (besides the kid that kept kicking my seat on a flight to NYC), I'm glad Sam Rockwell did it for me infront of around 30 people in a park.
The acting was the only other redeeming thing other than that scene, Rockwell was on fire and Vera Farmiga was great but had slight moments of uber over-acting and then she suddenly disappears into a looney bin halfway through.
What really bothered me was when Joshua kills his dog and GRANDMA, and nobody seems to care. And it's painfully slow, if I may steal a quote from a review: "The audience is ahead of the movie, and the movie never catches up.
".
