Review of Joshua (2007) by Jeremy T — 23 Aug 2008
This movie makes several disturbing statements, possibly including: Children are monsters, families are prisons which restrict free will, adulthood equals mental and moral collapse, artists are crazy, artists cannot tolerate non-artists and vice-versa, extreme intelligence can be indecipherable from evil, and.
.. maybe there is a slight flavor of children craving incest and abuse thrown in there. I dunno. All I know is this movie scared the shit out of me and entertained me, although it got to a point where I started to feel sick.
So... it's not really much fun. A well-done and more linear update of Eraserhead.
