Review of Joshua (2007) by Dana K — 21 Dec 2009
I'm really not sure about this one. Very strange - very, very, very strange indeed. But that doesn't mean it was bad. There are some amazingly suspenseful moments in it, and this kid is probably the scariest kid I've ever seen in a movie.
He's so blank and terrifying - especially his lines "I love you" and "I'll give you five dollars...". It just shows how evil he is. This is a great character study of how the kid drove both his parents mad, and there's a very great twist at the end.
But, at some points you realize just how demented the whole story is. It's not bad or anything, but not amazing. Overall, worth a watch or two.
