I don't know where to begin. Joshua was one of those films that when you watch it, you just want to see something happen to keep you from checking your e-mail or instant messager. This film was sub par at most, and that's even a stretch.

When Brad (Rockwell) and Abby (Farmiga) bring home their new baby daughter, their son, Joshua begins to act out in a dark and eerie fashion. As the family slowly begins to fall apart mysteriously, and their perfect lives crumble, there's Joshua standing over them with a cynical smile upon his face.

To be honest, I don't feel justified or doing this film any good by actually reviewing it. The simple fact is this...

Joshua started slow and the pace never really picked up until the last fifteen minutes. The use of awkward, creepy and eerie piano music only made me annoyed as it felt like the point was to hype up something to come, but in the end, the viewer is left hanging- not in a good way.

Disappointing and lackluster are the two best words to describe this film. I felt like I was watching a poorly thought out, wannabe "Omen" remake.

If you have the choice between Joshua and Crossroads (Britney Spears) ... just watch the fuzzy static channel instead, you know, the one that's all black, white, grey and snowy, and makes the KKKKSHHHHHHH sound. But if you don't have THAT, then take Britney Spears' Crossroads. You'll be somewhat entertained.
