Review of Joseph: King of Dreams (2000) by Louise F — 08 May 2009

I love this film and list it among my favourites. The animation may not be as epic as Prince of Eygypt, but the emotional heart of this film is I believe as strong. The historical reality is this is actually the prequel to the Prince of Eygpt.

The songs are brilliant and I found the lyrics of "You know better than I" and "Give more than you take" personally very challenging in a self centred, "I want it now", "it's all about me culture".

Though there are some differences between the original bible story and this, it is one of the best retellings of the story that is out there.
