This is like a film that Tarantino threw away. It has some promising touches and some good cast members but fails to take the magic and comic action to a level other than below average.
Josh Brolin is excellent as Jonah Hex, a lone fighting bounty hunter out to avenge his family's murder. The plot is somewhat broken and limited and the effects that are there are odd and misplaced rather than being consistent and entertainment.
You can tell this is from the writers of Crank and Gamer as it is a poor, silly action romp. I would not waste your time on this, opt for Van Helsing or one of the many DC based Superhero movies which deliver smart, big budget ambition.
