Review of Jonah Hex (2010) by Jason J — 03 Mar 2012
Set in the Wild West, a disfigured bounty hunter Jonah Hex who has powers to communicate with dead people is asked by the President of the United States to hunt down and kill his arch-enemy though to be dead Quentin Turnbull who has created a super cannon that can destroy cities. Turnbull killed Hex's family and scarred his face after an incident in the civil war.
This Western/Fantasy movie could have been so good but unfortunately it's one big incoherent mess. Where do I start with what's wrong - poor script and dialogue, it's badly directed, no character development whatsoever and it felt to me like they just thought this story in about 5 minutes and hastily shot it. The acting is a littler bit better - the best being Megan Fox as a prostitute. Thankfully it only runs for 80 mins. A wasted opportunity for a movie that had potential. Instantly forgettable.
