Review of Jolene (2010) by Jiana W — 17 Apr 2013

N my opinion it was good, it had me yelling to the screen the whole movie, Jessica was quite amazing, I believe she was around her early 30s when she shoot this film, but she's able to pull a 15 year old pretty great, she actually looks like a 15 year old.

The story it's not the best, it has a lot of drama that at some point I thought it was too much, specially at the end when you found out that Jolene was only 25 and she's been living things that people at their 50s are beginning to live, I feel sorry for Jolene I really wanted her to keep her baby, the last guy that she married was a true asshole, well all of the man she married where assholes. But somehow I respect Jolene, all that she went through and she's still able to get her shit together, it's just a movie but anyways.

I was really impressed by Jessica's performance, I once read on an interview that when she read a script and she found out she had to kiss someone she blushed and on this film she has to do so many sex scenes and not only with man, so I'm guessing that it was quite hard, but you don't even notice.

At the age of 25, Jolene had been divorced three times, they took the custody of her child, she had been a prostitute, a waitress, lover of a millionaire, at the end her appearance should be more fucked up, I don't know why they decided to keep it like that.

If you like a movie with a lot of drama and some comedy you will enjoy it, a movie about someone living their short life to the fullest, about a person that it's able to keep her shit together after all she went through, watch it... If you feel that you are going through some though times right now, watch it, it will help you realize that somehow out there, there's always having a worst time than you.
