Lacking content, beauty and brilliance. Characters are dull and unconvincing except for the Jewish girl who acted to her heights. It’s difficult to connect to them. It’s not funny. It’s not original.
It’s not exploring. Any comparisons to Begnini or Chaplin are offensive. The latter two are masterpieces. I would suggest Mr. Waititi to focus on Hunt for the Wilderpeople type of movies. For anyone who wants to make satires on Nazism and Holocaust I beg: do the research, explore the subject, get your facts.
Otherwise you will violate the memory of their victims.
